When you tell someone to read a book, that's a very sarcastic way of calling them dumb. If that wasn't your intention, it's fine, but know that's what it gets interpreted as in general.
Glad you brought up Clean Code. The whole issue is that in reality (and you just confirmed that) most software engineers either won't, don't, don't have the time or the space to carefully weigh all principles against each other. And when they do, it gets all very academic because everyone has a different interpretation of what clean or quality code is and which principle takes precedence. My article doesn't invalidate any of those. My article says there is a shortcut - use KISS and you will inadvertently also adhere to all the other principles. The article is very clear. I cannot explain it any better.
I am happy to receive constructive feedback. Unfortunately your initial comment was anything but. Been writing for about 20 years, I am used to getting counter-opinions. But this is yet another example of getting academic and patronising instead of having an actual debate.
