Truth be told, American companies and the US government are just as untrustworthy as China when it comes to data, so does it even matter anymore? If you want to come back with the argument that "yeah, but China is a Communist country", I lived in Communism, and know more about it than any American out there, and from where I'm standing America looks very similar to 1980s Communist Romania.
