Three out your arguments (why you should write for yourself, how to never have writer's block and how the anatomy of a successful article is bullshit) I could refute very easily. Sure, I've only been writing for 18 years (8 of which on Medium), but hey, your blog, your views. Some of them are pure gold and I 100% agree with, but I think you're missing some nuances, and hence you bundle everything into a bucket of crap. It's your loss after all, because there is value in alternative viewpoints. If you'd sit down for a beer with me and have a chat on the topics I disagree with you on, you might find, it's not all as black and white as it may seem.

P.S. You don't have to pay 5 bucks to publish on Medium. Publishing is free, always was and likely always will be.
