The negative impact of AI generated reviews, blurbs, etc is far-reaching. The first review I got on my novel on Goodreads in early 2024 was AI-generated. I contacted Goodreads about it. Crickets. They don't seem to care, and I am not the only author affected by it either. The general consensus of platforms seems to be: "we dunno what to do about AI generated garbage, so we do nothing".
