The editing bit is what concerns me. I have 400 pages of a novel written that needs a good editor and they don't come cheap. 7-10K. I was tempted to edit myself, but I'm not sure I should. I was also talking to a publisher because I'm looking to write a tech book too, and their expenses are around 80-100K/book. My jaw dropped. That's a lot of money.
