The answer is yes. Go for it. I myself do all that you do in some shape or form and more and since I got the M2 Air with 16GB RAM and 512 SSD, I haven’t turned on my M1 Pro. Not sure whether you were going to go for the 256 GB model, but I would advise against that simply because with all your files and SWAP, it’s getting a tad small for the level of work you wanna do. So go 512 GB. You’ll be pleased for many years to come.
