Thanks for your question. The way I see CSS is rather different. Many, far too many software engineers never take the time to learn CSS firstly because they think it's not really necessary to learn, they'll just wing it as they go, then run into issues and claim it's hard or sucks. It's very similar in some ways to JS. Folks decided to create TS instead of learning JS. There is a tendency to solve learning with tools that ultimately always end up being ephemeral, requiring people to return to basics.
