I think my audience takes me plenty seriously, but you’re welcome to disagree on that but only if you read all my other articles (over 200 of them) as judging an author based on one article is a tad superficial. I have tried a wide array of use-cases but I focused on first impressions because when looking at the marketing, the hype and everything else in balance, I felt someone needed to highlight just how bad that first impression was and how much the tool failed at simple stuff. It’s a completely underwhelming product. It was supposed to dazzle and it didn’t. This was by no means an in-depth analysis of the tool. If it would have showed promise I would have gone further but it failed at the gate. I remember trying out much more complex tools in the past like Webstorm, Photoshop, Apple Motion, etc and they all dazzled almost instantly. I believe I have a nose for good software. Copilot isn’t one and funnily enough you came to very similar conclusions as I did, except you spent more time giving it a chance.
