It doesn’t matter. What matters is that the average customer doesn’t know, nor care about any of this, but should get an energy rated product, which they don’t. Not sure why all the Intel fans get all upset when it’s clear as the sun that virtually all the Intel CPUs use tons of power compared to ARM. How do I know? I have an Intel MacBook Pro 15” that lasts 5h on battery and a 16” M1 Pro that lasts 22h! Alderlake is just another iteration of power hungry CPUs. And exactly what is the difference in purpose for the average consumer between and M1 and and Alderlake? Don’t tell me gaming, that’s a tiny market.
