Thanks for calling me ignorant. Don't think that was necessary. I am very familiar with how much YouTubers make from ads compared to subscriptions. It's one of the reasons I subscribe, just like I do here on Medium. It's not ignorance to expect the creator not to push ads into my face once they actually get part of my premium subscription money. It's all about fairness and just because YouTubers don't think the platform remunerates them fairly doesn't meant the unfairness has to be passed onto paying users. Just like you say I should stop watching YouTube, I could say stop making videos that generate you $5! Do I do that? No. You do what you do because you probably like doing it, and that's fair, but instead of calling me ignorant maybe think how it looks when a paying user ends up having to watch ads anyway because the creator decided so.
