Thanks David! Yes, I tend to have a different view on a lot of topics related to this massive industry we’re all trying to figure out for ourselves and those who come after us. With or without a University degree, anything computing related will not be easy, and nor should it be sold as such. Computer Scientists have a much deeper and more holistic understanding of how a computing device works and it goes down to the scientific level of it — hence the naming of the field. Programmers — while some will tend to have at least an interest in the field — will mainly focus on a few key aspects and often on a fairly superficial — strictly functional — level.
