Thanks for the read and the virtual tipping of the hat. 😀 In fairness, especially after reading your article too, you’re not wrong. I am still here, because money was never a driver for me. I actually have a draft that explores the cost benefit aspect of writing on Medium, even if you are in the 3 or 4-digit category. I dared not so long ago to comment on some writer’s story, telling her that the calculations she made were way off and one has has to make $150+ on a story just to break even. She didn’t get it. I don’t think people understand the real value of time. For me the partner program right now is an experiment as I was writing anyway, and it allows me to also test the viability of writing platforms. So far the experiment is going well, but I also feel the outcome won’t be in favor of Medium. I will of course still stay, because this is where I occasionally write without having to chase oublications which I have no time for.
