OK, so generally speaking think of artists and galleries for example. They all have curators who look for stuff to hang on the walls and get people through the doors. Does that mean the stuff that's there is the best? Unlikely. It's more what they thought is great and people would enjoy seeing. That still means gazillion artists don't get discovered, their art never gets seen in a gallery even if they might even be better. Does that mean there's luck involved? Yeah. Does that mean there's human bias involved? Likely. But the alternative is worse. The alternative is robots making decisions based on clicks and clicks alone and I remember that Medium. Wasn't pretty. Nor sustainable according to Tony, so I'll take this version over the alternative.
