OK, let's talk algorithms. How/why would an algorithm push your other stories if it has learned that what your readers care about from you is meta content? Imagine me writing a story about open heart surgery, running or beer. It wouldn't know what to do with it, and I know because I wrote about beer and it was a massive flop. The algorithm knows me as the author who writes about tech, programming and LEGO. My initial LEGO stories flopped too, because it didn't know what the heck to do with it, who to distribute to apart from readers who marked LEGO as an interest. This is the problem with not having a well defined niche. I mean you do, but it's meta. 🙂
