Oh, I disagree, 100%! But I will agree that it may seem that way to people who hate or don't know vanilla JS. So, perspectives do matter.

At the end of the day, I think TS is for people who are not used to "loose" languages like JS, and need want a very similar world to what they are used to. I'd argue that overall it would still be better if they learnt JS properly.
