My point was the even if they are nerdy or introverted, that doesn't result in bad social skills, nor does it result in a lesser career. Steve Wozniak is everything you describe, yet he's had a fantastic career. I think both skillsets have their value in the right circumstances, but we cannot ignore the fact that even going by MBTI rules, people fall into at least 16 categories. I think being in software development is the place where you can actually be yourself without any kind of pressure to act differently. There is a misconception that introverted folks are not communicative. That's antisocial, and that's a very different thing.
