Maybe won't be the most popular comment, but I feel that a lot of accessibility annotations in design are just crutches for developers and engineers. You can give me an entirely un-marked-up design, and I'll be perfectly capable of developing an accessible experience out of it. Now, where my way of doing it wouldn't work is when you act as a consultant or just hand off designs with no further communication afterwards. That's where probably some A11Y annotations can be useful. Or... maybe I just have the skills of both design, UX and engineering. Who knows... 😊
