Many of them I see staying around for a surprisingly long time. Often companies simply have invested so much into a language they refuse to rewrite in another until it becomes something that could sink the company itself. I remember Angular.js v1 sticking around until it became genuinely dangerous to have it in production. The same applies to many languages. That said, it might be a good training ground for AI to learn how to migrate existing codebases to a new language.
