Interesting thought experiment, but one aspect I feel is ignored is the personality types. There are both men and women who only thrive when feeling needed. This does not apply to everyone, for sure, but we also can't ignore it. What I am saying is that all this is a lot more nuanced than anyone could reduce to a 6 minute read article.
