In the '90s I had a schoolmate who had two moms. This was in Romania, soon after communism fell in '89. What happened behind closed doors I have no idea, but from the outside, nobody seemed to mind. The kid was fine, well-behaved, well-dressed (some might say too well even) and a good student, and there was always at least one mom present at the parent-teacher meeting. What does worry me though is what becomes punishable by law and what doesn't and when. I think society is able to organically adapt with decent education without having to drag people in front of courts when they have a different (perhaps conservative) view on life.
