I’m sorry the article is not up to your standards. I would like to point out though that you just said you had to do additional steps which makes your point moot unfortunately. You are also missing the aspect of energy-efficiency which will be a lot worse when running Intel binaries through Rosetta. I also don’t believe “reinstalling some apps happens automatically”. It absolutely does not. MacOS has no knowledge of where to find the ARM versions of all apps that you might have on your machine and replace them for you. This article was never meant to focus on one setup, but rather to cover a large variation to help more than just a small subset of users.
