I'm afraid you're encouraging bad/simplistic writing here. Huge authors, amazing literary works have relied on long sentences many many times. The way I see it: the author learned to write, the reader needs to learn to read. If a reader cannot cope with the occasional five line sentence, they are not my audience. 19 boosted stories and counting. 😉
