I would argue it's neither. It's basically a hammer that many new developers hit themselves in the head with and forget even the little bit they already knew. I can already see this when interviewing. How does one rock up to a full-stack dev interview not knowing HTML?!? Can't wait to be paid a fortune every time I will get hired to fix some idiot's pile of garbage code. Hourly rate? Forget it. I'll charge by the minute! 💰
