I think a more correct term Francis could have used was "anatomically", because anatomically we are (extreme gene mutation exceptions apply) born male and female, and therefore heterosexual. This is something that at least in the US if you dare to bring up, very quickly someone will want to shut you up and label you a homophobe, which is entirely incorrect. Many people who bring up the anatomical realities are also perfectly able to see sexual and emotional realities as well. There is no denying that there are people who are attracted only to their own gender or both. At this point, I don't even think there's a point debating this. What does however make things debatable is the heightened behaviour of certain homosexual individuals. I have heard plenty women being annoyed by gay men who supposedly act like women, except they overdo it to such extent that it looks like ridiculing the entire gender. In that case one must ask: are we talking about a gay man for instance or a man who actually wants to be a woman, in which case doesn't that mean they're in fact looking for a heterosexual experience, except they happen to be in the opposite gender's body? You see how this gets very complicated very quickly and the problem is there's not a lot of space to openly discuss these things without judgement or finger-pointing.
