I share your concerns and I would go as far as extending it to the JS stack too. I love Flutter, I truly do, but I feel like it's attracting a lot of excitement with little appetite for maintenance from package developers. This then results is a large pool of crap packages. Sometimes I get so frustrated I wanna move entirely into a closed-source eco-system and let everything else go to hell.
