I have to respectfully disagree. For two articles you got nearly $1000. You do realize most authors here don’t even make that in a year, right? Is that enough to feed you and pay the mortgage? Of course not. Nobody claimed this platform will make you rich. In fact, it has been said over and over again that this is the place where you get to write and also make some cash on the side for your writing instead of just giving it away for free. So there’s that.

Then there is also Tim Denning. I have no beef with the guy, but I consider that everything he writes is essentially zero value nonsense. He doesn’t write. He markets. Himself. I simply cannot take anything he says seriously and you might want to reconsider your admiration for his thoughts as well. Technical writing can be good, can have a hook and can make money. The question is how much money is enough for you.

But hey, if you want to give up, it’s entirely your prerogative. More space for the rest of us. 😃
