I have the movie version.

The book was meant as a satirical attack on communism and was promptly banned in the Soviet Union. But even after 1991 the book remains banned in Cuba and North Korea. It used to also be banned in the UAE because apparently talking pigs are contrary to Muslim beliefs…

I have the movie version. It's very clever actually! As someone who actually lived in communism for a few years, I understand even more of it than many in the West.
