I have been nine years on Medium and one of its main selling points for me both as a reader and writer was always that it was the platform that encouraged quality writing. I mean I get to write and read on the same platform that Obama, famous scientists, educators, leaders in tech and authors chose to express themselves on. To me, that is a big deal.
