I am all for technology, don’t get me wrong. It would be hypocritical of me as a software engineer to say otherwise, but I also know for a fact that Google use everything in their plethora of services to get data off the user for free. I just don’t like being the product. I prefer paying for a service and know I fully retain ownership of data.
