Hard to find on the LEGO site can mean a number of things. By default all lego sets are limited editions, because they never make them for more than a couple of years. During that time, there are periods when they're very low in stock, which makes them hard to find. Before they stop producing them there also is a period of hard to find, and then right before the end, there's the "last chance" label. Hope that explains it a bit more. I agree though that in general, these labels could be made simpler for the user to understand, as not everyone has been playing with LEGO for 30 years like me, to know this stuff.
