Fair point about the 64GB vs. 256GB. I for one never needed more than 64GB on an iPad though, and would not see myself needing more than that even if I started using it for development. I would also argue that for video production one would need a lot more than 256GB, so external drive would be the only option at that price-range, but then that's not cheap either and it's a hassle to carry around.
