Fair point. The source of inspiration for my article is partly external, partly internal day-to-day stuff. I see software engineers get a lot more excited about new shiny stuff and often feel demotivated when they're given bugs to work on, or maintain a legacy platform. You are right though. There is another side to the story, where POs often don't care enough about bugs to inspire and enable the teams to tackle them.
