Even if he succeeds, I don't think that success is replicable. People conveniently forget that American traffic and infrastructure looks very different to most of the world. Try one of his robotaxis in Ireland. It would either fail within minutes, or kill someone. Some roads here are so narrow, one car has to either reverse or pull completely over, risking falling into a ditch, to let the other one pass. Cities in most of the world were built long before cars. In contrast, much of the US is built around the automobile.
