Don’t look at it as better or worse than other stories, but whether it comes off as more memorable than other stories or not. Will it strike the reader as a fresh, new, more honest take on something than the sea of other good stories out there? If you think like that, you won’t feel as disappointed about the stories that don’t get boosted. It’s no more about how good your story is, but rather how different it is. Because not having a unique story to tell all the time is much more realistic and acceptable than willingly triggering self-doubt by thinking a story wasn’t good enough. 🙂
