The problem with your premise is that a decisive majority never had a real opportunity to use Macs, especially not for personal use. Even in the developed world, Macs are considered luxury devices. I have colleagues, software engineers like me, who think I'm nuts for spending 3K on a personal computer. In fact I felt nuts when I spent that kind of money on a MacBook Pro years ago. I got used to it, in fact I now make my investment back on every purchase. They however, don't.
Your data proves something entirely different, that Macs, as much as I like Apple, are still not affordable for the vast majority of people.
