Bubble... bubble... bubble, burst! 😂 With all due respect, I can't really take this article seriously. It's a clever ad, and from a marketing perspective, pretty well-crafted, but the amount of considerations that aren't considered in this article render this - well, an ad.
I mean let's just start with comparing a WYSIWYG platform's learning curves to full-stack development. What experienced softare development professional does that?!? 🤦♂️
Then you have the security aspect. Claiming that it's more secure than most apps built by small dev teams, means essentially nothing, heck it worries the hell out of me as it translates to "it's less secure than all apps built by medium and large dev teams".
Don't even get me started about the downsides... ALL the things a scaling business wants to avoid! Sure you can build a little shop or small web app with it, but so can you with all the other options out there with virtually zero learning-curve - not that I condone most of them (except Shopify). The trouble with Bubble and all delusional applications out there that claim can do "all the things" is that they think they can create a repeatable pattern for literally everything and sell it at a premium, locking unsuspecting naive customers in who will in just a year or two find themselves looking for a development team that does what they actually wanted in the first place.
