Apologies if I didn't highlight enough that the comparison is fair because M1 SOCs are already in desktops and are coming in even more desktops. Maybe I should have went deeper into that. But you know what? That's not even the real message here, but rather the fact that companies like Intel need to start thinking about energy consumption regardless of where their CPU or SOCs run, laptop, desktop, embedded, etc. What I and the world needs right now is Moore's law to apply in reverse to exponential power recution without hurting performance. Believe me, if Apple in 2022 will put power-hungry SOCs in ther Mac Pros, I'll be the first here speaking up against it. I promise you that. :) Follow me, make a note, and ping me as soon as, I will react if that happens.
