About Medium... I'd be very careful with writing directly on the platform. I myself have been doing that for years actually and I feel like an eejit for doing so, so much so that I even wrote an article quite recently about it https://medium.com/illumination/this-bad-writing-habit-could-cost-you-thousands-or-more-1988a5e28ccc Just my 2c'. 😃

I can absolutely understand trying to avoid the subscription model. Even on Bumble I went for the lifetime subscription 😆, it's basically 8 months' worth of regular membership but valid for life! My 60 year old self will thank me. 😆 Did the same with Photoshop. Ditched pretty much all Adobe apps as soon as they moved to subscription and now I use Pixelmator Pro, Luminar AI and Affinity Photo, all single-charge software, because at the end of the day, I am also a customer who wants to get the most bang for their buck. I also tend to want to support the smaller, more independent apps rather than the tech giants and Atticus seems to tick that box too.
