A top software developer should know that a 20% increase in CPU and 35% increase in GPU in a single SOC while still running in the same energy-efficient envelope as the previous iteration 2 years ago, is in fact a very big thing and just above the industry standard. You seem to be focusing on things that nobody else does, but that's entirely your problem. This year's WWDC was chock-full of innovation. What do you expect? Time-machines and teleportation devices every year? I'm so sick of people crying about Apple not innovating while it's happening right under their noses. (Apple isn't the only one doing it either, btw.)

You keep referring to "Apple of old", but have you checked how many of those product categories they created back then actually flopped? A ton of them. A good tech company keeps their focus sharp, rather than create nonsense products to give the appearance of innovation, while only tech enthusiasts maybe buy some of them. That's not how you create a profitable company.
